De Nederlandse band Echo Bowie – door Bowie-fans ook wel ‘the next best thing to Bowie’ genoemd – neemt je mee op reis langs Bowie’s hits, albums en alter-ego’s. Major Tom, Ziggy Stardust, de Thin White Duke… Langs steden als London, Berlijn en New York, waar Bowie leefde en z’n inspiratie opdeed. Kriskras door tijd en ruimte.

Jean Genie… Golden Years…. China Girl… Hallo Spaceboy… het van Nirvana bekende The Man Who Sold The World… Under Pressure, Bowie’s wereldberoemde duet met Queen…. De band rockt, funkt en croont zijn weg door 40 jaar pophistorie, maar vertolkt de muziek altijd anno nu. Echo Bowie speelde op gerenommeerde festivals als De Parade, de Gentse feesten en Huntenpop. In clubs door heel het land weerklonken hun uitvoeringen van de Bowie-songs. Radio 1 nodigde de band uit om er akoestisch te spelen en te vertellen over Bowie’s leven en carrière. De show ‘Speed Of Life – David Bowie 65’ trok Bowie-fans van over de hele wereld naar Nederland om er samen met Echo Bowie de verjaardag en de muziek van hun held te vieren. We can be heroes….
